I'm going to post through leland on this one, tonight Amy and I welcomed Hannah over for a wine and cheese book club meeting, we watched American Psycho and dove into a comparison between the novel and the movie. we enjoy the movie, but the book is better, like most people think about books turned into movies. I understand why people think books are better than their movie counter part, but i feel this comparison can't be made without understanding that books and movies are different mediums, the book does go deeper into the control of image and the insanity of Patrick Bateman than the movie can, but the movie tells this story in a different way. I feel this way because a movie has ninety minutes to tell a story and a book can take hundreds of pages to complete a story, so I feel both stand alone as important pieces of art. we all enjoyed the movie as much as the novel, but the novel stands taller in telling of the social importance of self image that people can fall to.
after the movie we went over to the tanner's home and had a laugh about all the dogs there. Leland came to see Lola, David's amazing dog, as well as John's dog milo.
Milo and Leland making magic happen, milo tried to mount Leland without knowing Leland is into woman.
After David's house we come back to Renegade Road, Mikey came over and we played Blitz while Amy and Hannah talked about work. We tried to find something going on and turned up short, so we sat outside talking for two hours. Mikey has important topics to cover, from religion to politics, I had a good time. After everyone had left I turned to the outside world to get some writing done.
Leland has learned how to shake and high five.
Poor leland, he does not look like he is into that dog
